Music Faculty Perform with Andrea Bocelli

By Melyssa Allen

Meredith music faculty members performed with renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli when he appeared in concert at the PNC Arena on Valentine’s Day 2024.

Backing Bocelli was a full orchestra and a 60-voice choir of local musicians. Instructor of Music Rachel Stenbuck and Professor of Music Kent Lyman were excited to join Bocelli on stage as members of the choir. Instructor of Flute Carla Copeland-Burns played in the orchestra.

Lyman shared that it “was a thrill for the Meredith faculty members to perform in front of a packed PNC Arena with one of the world’s most beloved musical artists.”
