Class Notes

1999

Updates

Jennifer Pope Edwards joined the Duke University Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment, and Sustainability working as the event project coordinator.

Over the past few years, Christine Miller Lowder has taken a break from being a high school counselor at Pinecrest High School to be a stay-at-home mom. Lowder continues to fill in as needed at the school. She volunteers extensively for the schools and has been nominated twice as volunteer of the year for Moore County Schools. In 2023, Lowder and her husband celebrated 15 years of marriage. They both love traveling and supporting their sons in all they do! Lowder’s youngest son will be starting high school in the fall and her oldest son will be starting his junior year of college in the fall. Keeping up with her lifelong friends from the Class of 1999 has brought her immense joy, especially when they get together for fun trips to the beach and the mountains!
