After years of talking about it, Jeannine Manning Hutson earned her Master of Arts degree in December 2020. All of her UNC-Greensboro MAAS courses were online, which was quite an adjustment for someone who typed her English papers at Meredith in the Harris Building computer lab with the dot-matrix printers. In addition to earning a master’s in the past year, Hutson was also named chief communications officer and director of university communications for East Carolina University.

Michelle White Porter is still selling real estate in Greensboro, N.C., with Berkshire Hathaway Yost and Little Realty. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and golf (which she has just started), and visiting her Park City, Utah, home to ski. Porter’s two children, McGehee and Claibourne, are in their senior and freshman year at Elon University.

Cheryl Alderman Slokker is now the director of communications in the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business.
