The building, located adjacent to the softball field and tennis courts, will include two large indoor batting cages that will double as indoor golf driving ranges, locker rooms, a student lounge, and public restrooms.
This building’s construction was made possible by Chris Speight Brown, ’76, and her siblings, who made a $1 million lead gift to name the center in memory of their mother, Mary Estes Speight, ’53, and their father, Bobby Speight.
The players’ lounge in the center has been named by the late Ginger Alexander Neustadt, ’05, former Meredith trustee.
The current construction is phase one of the project.
Check your email and meredith.edu this summer for more information about the ribbon cutting celebration time and details.
